Wireless temperature sensor monitors the transport of medicines

In addition to monitoring the temperature of medicines in the pharmacy, Seemoto can also be Seemoto to monitor the temperature of transport boxes during the journey from the pharmacy to the customer. The Seemoto temperature logger (TS-logger) is ideal for monitoring the transport of medicines.

Wireless temperature logger

Like all other Seemoto , the temperature logger measures the temperature every five minutes. If it is connected to a base station during transport, the data it reports can be viewed via the service in real time. For medical transports, to achieve real-time, a base station must also be added to the vehicle. The dimensions of the device are 71 x 37 x 12 mm without the backplane and 97 x 62 x 12 mm with the backplane.

In its simplest form, the temperatures of transporting medicines can be monitored using a Seemoto(TS-Logger).

The temperature logger is placed in a transport box or cooler bag and the operating switch on the back plate of the sensor is set to the "on" position. Measurement will only start after the start delay specified on the sensor. This allows time for the sensor, for example at room temperature, to cool down to the temperature of the cooler. Often, a sensor that is to be transported in a refrigerator is stored in the refrigerator, where it is already at the correct temperature and does not necessarily need a start delay. Measurements are stored in the instrument's own memory if there is no base station connection.

The temperature logger is also set with predefined temperature limits. The limits are marked on a sticker on the logger and are therefore also visible to the user. This avoids the risk that loggers that look identical from the outside could be mixed up in cold and room temperature transport. If the temperature limits are exceeded during transport, a red LED light on the front of the sensor will flash. The unloader of the transport bag can then immediately see if the limits have been exceeded. When the device is taken out of the transport bag and the operating switch is turned to the "off" position, the sensor flashes either a red or a green LED depending on whether or not the temperature limits have been exceeded during the journey. When the device returns to the coverage area of the pharmacy base station, it will decode its data to the service. The temperature curve for the entire transport can then be viewed in the service view.

Temperature logger supports real-time temperature monitoring during transport

If the pharmacy has a large number of pharmaceutical transports, it is worth considering installing a dedicated base station in the vehicle used for transport. This enables real-time monitoring of the transport, as the temperature logger then communicates the measurement data in real time via the base station Seemoto

An alarm can be set for each Seemoto. If the sensor is connected to the base station during the transport of medicines, the alarms will also work in real time. In practice, an anomaly during the journey can be immediately alerted by the system, for example to the driver of the car or the pharmacist's telephone. This can catch, for example, situations where the lid of the transport box opens in the boot of the car or the boot door is left open and, in extreme cold, also cools the transport box quickly. If a base station is installed in the car, the system also enables real-time vehicle positioning and reporting of route, schedule and mileage.

Installing the base station in your car is easy. In its simplest form, it can be installed in the vehicle a 12 or 24 volt socket or a USB socket if one is available. Alternatively, an electrician can install the equipment permanently on the vehicle's fixed 12V or 24V power supply. In this case, the base station will work even during stops and there will be no interruptions in service. Auton plugs often lose power when the driver switches off the car. The base station connected to it then alsostops receiving power and at the same time real time is lost.
